Why don't you just filter target-sites

so that the internet giants don't complain anymore?

Actually, Netdisaster already had some kind of filtering feature. Everytime someone complained, I used to add the related URL into the black list. But Internet giants don't just complain. They get the site shut down directly by the hosting provider! That's why...

Or add some disclaimer to disasters?

In the end, there will always be something that some big companies will dislike, and I don't want to fight endlessly, and add loads of disclaimers and other legal features that, in the end, lock the whole concept and make it much less funny. I already had removed the ability to link to a disaster, which was too bad... but not enough, obviously.
